Blue Jasmine

Blue Jasmine is about a girl named Seema that moves to Iowa all the way from a small town in India. At first when Seema and her family moves to their new apartment, Seema realizes that leaving her home in India and being excited about it was a bad idea. She missed India, the rest of her family, the smell of India, and all her friends and now there's no way of getting back what she already lost.

This book is a great example of friendship because like other kids in the world, Seema doesnt know how to make new friends in her new school. She's afarid that they will make fun of her smell, what she eats, and what she looks like. And that's what kids in the real world worry about. But when it came to the first day of her new school, Seema instantly made a new friend; the bully.

In seema's apartment, there's also another girl who is new to the neighborhood as well, and like Seema doesn't have any friends. She ubnderstands how Seema feels, they have no one to talk to, and no one to cinfide in when they feel lonley. But instead of trying to be friends with each other, they both push each other away to spare their feelings.

When Seema's grand mother gets sick and Seema goes to visit her, Seema understands the value of love, friendship, family, and home. But most of all she learns that home is where the heart is, not where all your friends and family is located.
