Life as we knew it, by Susane Pfeffer is how a girl named Miranda copes with life after a tremendous meator hits the moon and moves it closer to the face of the earth, which changes life as she knows it forever. With Miranda's step-mother having a baby and her older brother is away at colege, Miranda, her 13 year old brother Matt, and mom all have to strive through some harsh moments. Higher tides, less food at the stores because people are panicking, no electricity, and at times no water. Before the big bang of the meator and the moon, everything was as normal as can be, and life was good. With Miranda always on the internet posting new things about her favorite skater Brandon Erlinch she had nothing to worry about. But when she was caught off guard, everything took a took a turn for the worst. All of a sudden every teacher had given an assignment on the moon, to see what would happen and how it would or might affect them, but what the people hadn't known is how it will change everything on earth forever.
